I am writing to talk about our government's plan to improve the environment by taking an active role in reducing emissions on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
Our government will be partnering with Toronto Hydro to build an innovative storage system that will provide back-up power to the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line, which will increase reliability, lower operating costs and reduce emissions.
The 19 kilometre Eglinton Crosstown LRT will include 25 stations and stops that will link to 54 bus routes, 3 subway stations, 3 Go Transit Lines and the UP Express. This line is slated to be completed by 2021.
This is part of our government's plan to make public transit even more accessible for all.
