I am writing to you today about our government's efforts to make applying for funding for Student Assistance much more easier so that students can properly budget for their expenses during the school year.
For the first time, students applying to college and university or for those who have applied for OSAP can now go online to see the estimated tuition costs for each of the programs they have applied to and the estimated amount they will be covered by OSAP.
In addition to this, students who have received OSAP and attending college and university in Ontario will receive a bill from their college or university that has already been reduced by the amount of OSAP aid they will receive.
Any remaining eligible OSAP funds will be sent directly to the student to cover additional costs such as living expenses and books.
This is just another aspect of government's plan to make life more affordable for all Ontario residents.
This website is provided for your convenience. If you'd prefer to call or email, my staff and I would be happy to hear from you.
