I am pleased to write to you about our government's latest initiative to increase the number of emergency leave days each employee is allowed to take from work.
This initiative will ensure that two paid days for emergency leave will be provided for every worker. Furthermore, workers will be allowed to take at least 10 emergency days of leave.
Employers would be prevented from requesting a sick note from employees who elect to take personal emergency leave.
Reasons for taking such days would be expanded so that employees experiencing domestic or sexual violence or the threat of sexual and domestic violence would be permitted to use these days.
This is just part of our government's plan to ensure that workers are treated with dignity and respect.
This website is provided for your convenience. If you'd prefer to call or email, my staff and I would be happy to hear from you.
